Welcome to Tainted Innocence, the approved TAFL and TFL fanlisting for Sapphirus Hawthorne from Apocripha/0.
Sapphirus (Sapphi for short) is the staff officer who's responsible for training the Red Prince, Alexander Pastenr. He's the one who takes care of Alex (like cooking food, educating, etc.) and spends most of his time with him. Since he's a staff officer for Alex, he has some what of a rivalry with Jade, who's the staff officer responsible for Platina, the Blue Prince and Alex's younger twin brother. Unlike most series that involve angels and devils, where the stories are in the angel's view and the devils are the enemy, this story flips that around and is in the devil's point of view. It takes place in the world called "Naraku" and the angels up in Heaven are the enemy. In this world, there was a powerful king who ruled the world under the absolute law of how "only the strongest will survive." (Reminds me Charles Darwin's theory of "survival of the fittest" ^^;) He spends quite some time to try to create a peaceful world, but since his reign is almost over, it's up to his twin sons, Alex and Platina to determine the fate of Naraku. The catch was that since only one of them can take the crown and become the next king of Naraku, he orders them to fight each other for succession of the throne. The stronger of the two will survive, while the other will die. Who will win this battle of succession? Alex or Platina? Besides the battle that will happen between Alex and Platina, there are people around them that seem to know information that the two princes seem to be oblivious to, let alone that the two of them see visions in their dreams about different events and also heard voices in some of them. Neither know what the dreams mean... do they have a purpose of telling them something or not? |
Apocripha/0 (A/0 for short)is a BL game, but there are more hints of it than anything else. The art and story are by Yuuki Azusa, who drew the CG pictures in the game and drew the manga series under the same name. The manga consists of three volumes and the scanlation group Desperate Love is scanlating the series. So far, they've done up to chapter 11. The game was released for both PS2 by GN Software in October of 2004 and for PC by Stack Software back in 2001. The game has two different versions: Alex Disk and Platina Disk. Both versions have basically the same plot, but are in their points of view of the story. |
